As we gently roll down the other side of the mountain pass and along Thirlmere. You can begin to discover why this was two lakes and now one. (see the postcard picture of when it was two)
From the dam there is every chance of a great view back along to Helvellyn and beyond.
As we then move back towards Keswick there is an hour or so left of the sightseeing tour of the Lake District. However, what an hour! As the sun begins to set, even more epic views and adventures are still to come.
